The little girl loved her house very much -but what she loved most was to rummage through her Mummy’s and her Aunties’ wardrobes and emerge clutching the twinkling jewellery she had unearthed: the pearl necklaces, the brooches with the sparkling crystals, the big colourful earrings… Her Mummy and her Aunties, you see, were ever so refined and stylish and they brought back all kinds of amazing things from Paris and Alexandria where they lived, or from the Old City of Chania…
The little girl never tired of watching her treasures shimmer and glimmer and sparkle in front of her eyes. So much so that, one day, as she was playing Fairy Princess, she made a solemn promise: “One day, when I’m all grown up, I too will make such things of beauty and I will give them to others to wear and be more beautiful still”!
Years went by, the little girl grew up, she went down paths that took her away from her childhood dream, she accomplished a lot, she opened and closed cycles of her life. Until, one day, she remembered the solemn promise of the young Fairy Princess and decided to take the plunge: “And now, at last, I too will make such things of beauty and I will give them to others to wear and be more beautiful still”.
And that is how Anasia Jewelry began.
I may have taken the long way around it, but I am finally proud to present you my jewellery collection based on materials from the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s that have taken new life as beautiful pieces reimagined and reinterpreted for the here and now, whilst retaining the aesthetic and elegance of those times!
